If any fediverse platform devs are interested, it appears you could request a collaboration with Facebook / Instagram to create a "Transfer Your Information" process.
This would allow users to just click a button and have their posts converted over to another platform rather than deal with the whole archive export / import.
@box464 I've been trying to import my Instagram data to Pixelfed for a while but it always fails. It's a lot of data so it doesn't surprise me but it would be nice if these things worked better
@motoridersd Yeah some of the options to transfer your data were big cloud data storage partners like Backblaze! So they obviously realize these exports can be huge.
