The problem with Debian testing is that packages are not fresh, neither packages are fresh in sid. So, Debian is not a replacement for rolling distros like Arch Linux or openSUSE Thumbleweed

why not? I installed it in a VM and the packages seems all up to date (except for firefox because it uses firefox-esr)

Where can I track package versions without installing? packages.debian.org/trixie/ and packages.debian.org/unstable/ show outdated packages.

To be honest, I thought it was stupid. I misunderstood how it works and I thought it was overcomplicating the idea of decentralised instances

Heard about Diaspora around 2010s. Knew Mastodon probably before 2022 (when there were only two Polish instances, 101010.pl and a left-wing one, remade later into more mainstream pol.social), @Vivaldi brought me here as they integrated Mastodon with their web browser. However, @74 is actually my first fedi account. Learnt about /kbin and made an account there in 2023, when it consisted only of 2 Polish servers, karab.in (flagship) and another one. My account here, on kbin.social exists since 8 of May 2023.

I am not sure how to see the main feed of mastodon from kbin but you can use
https://kbin.social/u/@USERNAME@INSTANCENAME to view posts from a specific user.
Kbin seems to treat individual accounts on mastodon as different magazines.
Also from Mastodon it will not appear in the main feed but you can use a fediverse link to view it and comment on it.
Next to comments and posts where it says more it will give you a fediverse link. If someone puts that in the search bar in mastodon they can connect to it.

Hey, in the microblog section, most of the posts come from Mastodon and other platforms. Threads are mainly from Lemmy and Friendica.

If you want to include post from Mastodon in concrete magazine, simply mention it in the post content, for example, @kbin@kbin.social
