Today, we went to Takasaki, the largest city in Gunma Prefecture. Here is a set of unprocessed, out-of-camera photos from our first stop, Shōrinzan Darumaji. It is here at this temple, several hundred years ago, that the first Daruma dolls were made.

Kyōdō is a neighborhood in the center of the western Setagaya ward of Tokyo. It’s also an express stop on the Odakyu Line, reachable from Shinjuku within 15 minutes. Here is a set of some photos from the area.

The marvels of daily life are so exciting, no movie director can arrange the unexpected that you find in the street. #photography#blackandwhitephotography#art
Takinogawa is a district in Kita ward (starting outside JR Itabashi Station, to the east of the JR Saikyō Line tracks) that has retained a distinct Old-Tokyo feel. A very interesting area to walk around in. This is the second set of street photos from this neighborhood.
Shouldn't this be "Photos"? All I see are individual photos posted and no discussion or interaction. There isn't even an about section in the sidebar. This really feels like a magazine that was created because someone thought that people would expect it to exist, then abandoned.
So I was hanging around on the pier in Międzyzdroje and that couple breached into the closed part of the pier where ships dock and they started to dance. Sadly, I was too slow to take a better pic. That was so unexpected and delightful to watch.
It feels like it's going to be an early fall on the north shore of Lake Superior. Many trees are already changing a brilliant red and yellow. In contrast, I made this photo on October 5th of last year. I have a feeling that this location may peak late September this year.
