Any surge in kbin or lemmy signups?
I'd check myself, but don't know there to look. We might not see much change until Tuesday when the long weekend is over.
As a victim of domestic violence who has spent years online trying to help other victims, Reddit's act of undeleting several of my deleted comments just made me have to go through and manually delete. In the process, I had to relive a huge chunk of trauma.
Reddit admins appear to be removing links to Lemmy instances posted in comments.I'm seeing quite a few "[Removed by Reddit]" comments in /r/RedditAlternatives this evening. Anybody else seeing their comments being manipulated by Reddit staff today?
While wiping my reddit account I remembered I still had my other old and novelty accounts to wipe so I get to feel that satisfaction multiple times over.
11 years of posts, most of them just trying to helping out others, are now gone. Thanks Power Delete Suite! I feel like I just had a breakup that was my choice,...it feels really disappointing but I'm free!
I decided to edit all of my comments to say that I left Reddit in protest and provide a link to the Fediverse. If I leave the comments up when I delete my account, can Reddit edit them back to what they originally were? Should I just delete them?
All legacy technical posts will remain available so that searching for help related to the browser is still available, but henceforth and until the reddit admins appropriately reply to our concerns, the only new submissions allowed will be ones that contain the cuddly fuzzy little animals from which the subreddit indirectly received its name:
The red panda! Also known as fire foxes.
If you are looking for technical posts, we now have an official community on Kbin. Keep in mind that Lemmy also federates with Kbin. We continue to be around on Matrix as well.
The subreddit & Kbin magazine aren't run by Mozilla but are still a very important forum for the browser.
Do give them a follow on @firefox - you should be able to follow that from most of the Fediverse i.e. Mastodon, Calckey, etc etc etc
Believe the hype, y’all. @hariette and the team are building something special with @ArtemisApp. The alpha feels better than some finished products I’ve used recently. So much polish in every pixel of this thing. #artemis#threadiverse#RedditMigration#reddit
