Wow this is bad. Some Italian researchers decided there wasn't enough anti-right-to-repair hardware in the world already, and developed a way to physically profile and recognize individual battery cells that can be combined with classic DRM technologies to prevent non-OEM battery cells from working inside a device, even if the classic DRM portion is circumvented. Whyyyyyy?!

What’s interesting about being a woman is that:

I feel I cannot win.

If I dress like a developer which I’ve worn hoodies to conferences that’s shamed, but if I dress feminine, it is sexualized.

Sometimes, it feels like everything I’ve ever done in my life is reduced like:

science innovation? Naw, bewbs.
Kindness? Naw, bewbs
? Naw, bewbs
Don’t care, bewbs

I am a multifaceted person. Why can’t that be recognized?

@reginagrogan From my observations it seems to be about the men’s entitlement. Some really can’t understand why they are not free to comment as they see fit. Why would the woman even be there if not for his amusement?

I have called out men like this and I was met with hostility and exclusion in the workplace. These were married men with children. It’s quite sickening.

It’s almost as if the patriarchy is a major problem.

@holsta to me it’s not really about the saying. It’s about the reduction of me to a subhuman.
