Same here... 6yr old account deleted (after nuking all my comments). I didn't have as much karma as you, but I did have a lot of quality content. So long Reddit, we won't see each other again (I won't visit even as a anonymous visit) fuck spez

Me too. I had an 11 year old account that had so much info that it almost hurt, but I'm angry at Spez for ruining Reddit and this was the last straw.

I overwrote all of my comments, deleted my posts, and deleted my account with a final Fuck Spez in the "Why are you deleting your account" box.

Running the PDS fork with the 5 second cooldown right now to do editing of all my posts and comments. Will wait a few days before deleting my account to make sure they stay edited.

I wasn't that active over the last 12 years, but it's still taking a while. 3.3k karma here
Honestly hoped that they wouldn't go full idiot....but sadly...spez is in charge. He's an insult to the idiot community.

edit: took all night but 4k+ posts edited. Waiting a bit and checking occasionally to ensure they stay edited before deleting.

I’m likely not too far behind you. I currently have PowerDeleteSuite running to nuke all my content. I may keep my account and just lurk on there (with ad blocker running, of course), but not sure yet.

Same. Still new to Kbin (my first comment!) and the Fediverse in general. I initially migrated over Mastadon a few weeks ago, and like you had been kinda holding out hope that reddit would u-turn. At this point, even if they do, they damage is done with so many communities having their mods forceably changed. At best, they've got a bunch of fresh mods taking over in a very hostile environment right now, just as a lot of helpful tools for taming the reddit content fire hose are being axed. Worse, there's opportunists with an agenda taking advantage of this and using the new positions to push an agenda or otherwise compromise communities.

Sad state of affairs over there at reddit, but liking what I'm seeing in the Fediverse so far!

I edited all my comments to be the same message. I don't know what the benefit would be of deleting vs editing them. Ultimately the goal is that they can't benefit from content I've created, right? Is there any benefit in deleting?

Just uninstalled RIF about an hour ago. I'm looking forward to this next chapter. It's still very early days for the fediverse but it seems very promising.

Been here since the blackouts started and it feels much more chill here.

Just pulled the plug on my 8 year old account as soon as Sync stopped working. I had already made my decision a few days ago once mods were being forcibly removed so this was merely a formality. It was still a sombre feeling watching it burn, but I'm glad that I can move on now.

Anyway, welcome and here's to a new era without corporate enshittification.
