Yes, definitely. It's an important aspect that has been bothering me for quite some time. However, I'd like to tackle it with a fresh codebase and proper tests, so I can't promise it will happen very quickly. I still have a few other things beyond coding that need urgent attention, and I wouldn't want to hastily introduce new features related to the fediverse until I can fully focus on it.
I don’t notice whether communities are kbin or Lemmy, so no idea. I think many communities being on Lemmy partly comes from that being released a few years earlier.
Beat Saber was my favorite game for a long time.
I have 199 hours in. That would probably be around 2 000 000 steps earned through exercise!
Blade & Sorcery is my number one currently.
245 hours in. Especially the mods make it fun! I just wish I could last longer in one gameplay go but usually maybe after an hour I need to call it quits for all the energy lost and sometimes even feeling to lie down for a while 😂
.
Other mentions:
Skyrim VR. I love the bow in VR - you can shoot so fast with it!
Slinger. I love VR games where you need to use ropes and (rocket) thrusters to get around! Beware of baddies and get to the next level!
Jet Island. Another rocket-rope game - explore a vast area, collect upgrades and mods and kill bosses
VRChat. I love being a robot! I sometimes even use a robot voice! There are game and social worlds to hang in and new folks to meet!
Remember, it's not just one diligent guy in all of this, working amidst the speed of time, delivering fine pastry as a patient bakery sibling twin would; it's all of us, in our own miniscule yet meaningful way forward.
Congrats on pushing out the update! Liking what I see so far. Can't wait to see what else is in store.
edit: I mentioned this in a separate thread, but I was wondering if we'll also be getting a changelog from yourself or another user? The posts have been very nice to have, but I wouldn't want to impose an unnecessarily large workload onto a single person.
Thanks, as soon as I get a handle on the current mess, I know where to find you. I also forgot to mention the organization of the moderation team and the introduction of tools that will help breathe life into abandoned magazines. That's in the next few days.
Despite of what some people said in other posts, I think that the devlog is really great to give us some visibility of what is being done behind the scene and, most of all, to be clear that /kbin development is not abandoned!
I'm really glad that you could overcome the challenges that life surprised you with, and that you're finding joy developing /kbin. Can't wait to see everything you've done and planning to do on the future!
As always, congrats and thanks for the great work @ernest!
Life can throw difficult challenges our way, but it's great to hear you're in a better place now. Excited for the upcoming update. Sending good vibes, too. The minor devlog posts will also be reassuring moving forward. It's nice to see the thought process behind problems that arise, as well as approaches and solutions.
