Detecting changes in Deno KV with kv.watch makes it easier to build real-time applications like newsfeeds, analytics, multi-user collaboration tools, and more.
After getting fed up with the general neglect of MacOS accessibility from Apple, and having wanted to work on something meaningful for quite some time, I decided to attempt something that for some reason nobody seems to have tried to do before: write a completely new screen-reader for that platform. This isn't an easy task, not...

Kbin just released Collections, its feature to allow users to create groups of magazines. The microblogging side of the fediverse has lists. It sounds like this is basically what you're asking for.
It looks like you're on kbin, which doesn't have lists. The equivalent feature is Collections but its fairly new. Collections are essentially arbitrary groupings of magazines, similar to reddits multireddits.
Lists on microblogging platforms allow you to manage multiple groupings of accounts instead of following them all. So your home timeline could be people you know IRL and you could have a list for different interests and you can view each one independently.
Nice to see the Pleroma team getting an NLNet grant so development can pick back up. I missed it when it happened but apparently there was a big shakeup with the Pleroma dev team. I'm glad they seem to be recovering from that and hopefully we'll see some sustained progress with Pleroma again.
Gaming, news, tech, general literature. All of these are somewhat thriving, with a steady influx of posts and comments. At the same time, the userbase is sorely lacking for more niche communities. In my case it'd be stuff like poetry, yoga, religion, linguistics, meditation. Or many other communities I'd doubt they'd form a...
The fediverse grows in waves. This was the first wave for the threadiverse, not The Big Wave. Nows the time to let the lead devs catch their breath, prepare for larger userbase and contributor base, and work on critical issues and let contributors start to polish UX issues. The next time there's a wave, this will be a much better place and we'll be ready. That's when you'll start to see a lot more niche communities able to sustain themselves
Since the lemmy issue is getting overrun with people talking about other proposals, I'm thinking about submitting this as a #FEP. Is that still a useful process? I don't know how many projects look to FEPs for implementation guidance.
