    @nottheengineer it's a polymer of some sort, when wet it's slick to the touch, like plastic wrap would be, but it's super absorbent, i've never seen it before ever, which is why i'm asking

    second towel (from other mini fridge i also purchased) same mystery material, this one has been allowed to dry, it keeps whatever shape it dries in, and turns hard as a rock, hold it under water for a couple seconds and becomes as pliable and slick as a rubber sheet

    @ImplyingImplications I don't think Swamwow's act like this when dried out, Polypropene is interesting but I don't see it used like this, again no other Amazon product matches this material being used like is, as a sponge/towel, so it remains a mystery
