That's essentially what I ended up having to do, but keep hoping that I've missed something.

I also find that people seem to ignore this route, assuming people are fine with public dns pointing at your home ip and http/https ports open.

My problem - and I'm not alone - is that I really don't want to expose anything publicly. Is there a way to do this without exposing anything to the Internet?

Have to say, I've been using Linux since Slackware 95. And ChromeOS + Debian container is my favorite desktop Linux experience. I do wish a couple of things are different, but with the Android app support too and the nearly seamless Wayland integration etc it's just been so...low-maintenance. For work as a developer, etc.

I just realized I get no notifications at all. Not on mobile, I see no visual indication etc. How do notifications work here?
