If we get user tags at some point I am gonna tag you Beetlejuice cause boom, there ya are :P

If it's anything related to Lemmy's software version (I seem to recall that can cause issues with compatibility to us?) for extra info, the 2 lemmy instances I'm using when checking (lemmy.zip and dbzer0) both look to be on 0.18.5 of their software.

Also having the same thing happen over on /m/SquaredCircle for what it's worth. Just noticed last night after a particularly slow day. Logged into my lemmy.zip alt and noticed nothing for near 48h had come across from kbin. Checked another alt on another lemmy instance and it was more or less the same there too.

It moved? Guess I can remove that tampermonkey script then lol

No. That's what the instance block will do when we get it. Right now with the domain block, the point of it is for example, say you hate imgur.com. Why? Doesn't matter, you just do. You can block the imgur domain so nothing from imgur, regardless of where it's posted, will appear in your feed on kbin. If I post a picture linked from imgur on m/gaming, you won't see it when you browse that magazine.

If you try to block an instance with that same method, posts and comments still come through fine. I've blocked a bunch of European instances due to language issues but the posts still sometimes comes through regardless (and many other people have commented saying the same over the last month, hence why we'll be getting a proper instance block soonish).

(Tagging @Maestro for visibility)

That's because we don't have Instance blocking on kbin. We have domain blocking, which is not the same thing nor does it provide the same function.

Instance blocking is supposed to be coming soon however according to comments on codebase (no idea on an ETA).

The fucking irony lol.

GeekFTW, a RedditMigration en Reddit may be tricking users to buy awards/coins
@GeekFTW@kbin.social avatar

Jokes on them either way, been on Reddit for 12 years and I haven't bought a fuckin' award or coin or nft or dingle-dangle or bingle-bongle from Reddit yet and that ain't changing today lol

instead I want to see posts that fit my interests, regardless of who made them.

Follow hashtags then? I mean I'm following a good 40 or so people so far, largely newsy type things, but I've followed dozens and dozens of different hashtags so whatever gets posted with them pops up in my feed.

No need to go following Generic Mastodon User Who Likes Transformers™ when I can just follow to see my dumb robo pics lol

GeekFTW, a RedditMigration en How do I add a link on the home page that opens the link target?
@GeekFTW@kbin.social avatar

Not sure if there's an addon or anything, but there's no native way to do this that I've seen.

@GeekFTW@kbin.social avatar

Users can absolutely be blocked, and at least on kbin you can also block instances and magazines as a whole as well
