I find it hard to decide who to hate less because both are so ambiguous about their future. Currently threads doesn't allow access to any of their content without signup and using their damn mobile app, while twitter allows free access from any browser.
On the other hand, twitter is recently limiting access without an account, and threads could have a browser version and federation with the fediverse.
I think it is a big mistake to underestimate the effect of having reached the critical mass of users. It will not die easily (spez is working hard to achieve this), much less quickly.
Since Greasemonkey is no longer being updated and /kbinStyles has been thriving, with people creating a lot of userscript for added functionality, I thought I should introduce Violentmonkey here. It is a really good opensource alternative for Tampermonkey and works well....
If you look for information about it (edit: of violentmonkey) years ago you will probably find negative reviews, as it had an ambiguous privacy policy that generated many suspicions and accusations; but they fixed it a long ago, it is an excellent addon.
