@itsfoss Using a Steam Controller as an art input. Trigger for pressure (or flow), touchpach for rotation, gyro for tilt, which possibly could allow using position from the mouse or a pen (that doesn't need much/any pressure on a drawing monitor) in your other hand assuming it doesn't cause an issue for mixed input in Krita.

I mean SCC does exist (and surely it could be used for shortcuts) but doesn't seem to work with these types of events (even pen pressure).

but allows community bindings for other languages.

The bindings in 3.X were in a really good state even for niche languages, 4.X introduced a new system that threw that out the window as all bindings needed to be redone as a new effort.

More integration was needed for compiled languages, but it kinda sucks that the language I want to use (that was listed as production-ready for 3.X) still isn't an option more than half-a-year after 4.0 released (and still only splintered efforts by individuals).

Possibly, but the most expected immediate direction (both for new contributors and the existing Godot team) due to the current situation is likely improving (or simply using) C# support over any bindings.

In my case, people interested in the same language might actually switch over to Unreal instead (as it does have a language-support plugin). That and I think it's just a tall order to create bindings from scratch especially for 1 person, maybe even a year-long task so kinda sucks the 3.X bindings got broke (still seems odd to me that those devs weren't/still-aren't interested in 4.X).

It's also possible that even the newer bindings require specific knowledge of Godot's system (also maybe a bit of C/C++ knowledge) resulting in less people able to understand enough to even start creating bindings.

I mean I'm sure there will be an ecosystem change (beyond C#) because of this, but it'll probably have more effect longer-term (if Unity can't figure out how to dig upwards).

Nim-lang. Python-esque style but compiled, having performance and high flexibility. Here's an image with some code in it (non-Godot) (Note: reading from text grid) and here's an example project (number converter) I made for 3.X (go to /src/ for actual code, main.nim and convert.nim).

Probably lends itself to gamedev (particularly highly tunable yet optional memory management, arc/orc likely what most want).

Note that this likely could have been guessed via this list as C# is obviously not it, Rust and Lua have 4.X bindings, so that only leaves 3 options in the production-ready category (and the other 2 are JS/TS).

EDIT: Nevermind with the below, I'm guessing you used Graphite. Glad that was the first option to try (with runnable in browser).

Though the pen tool doesn't seem to be perfect for this (or I'm missing something) so perhaps I am wrong.

What did you make the logo with, particularly if it is not (just) raster?

I know Inkscape doesn't seem to work very well with that style, or at least it could be a lot simpler and easier. To the point I'd say the Godot game engine has a better polygon editor, but it only really handles the basics well (for instance, vertex colors are edited by a list).

Is there any reason why people think this? Said more in-depth in another comment, but I think the influx happened weeks ago with possibly more people on a wider time-scale or because of some other factors.

Who would wait to join until the last day and why would they? It's not like they need to delete their old account before signing up here.

I know about the situation with the apps, I'm wondering why they didn't see the writing on the wall or why they wouldn't care until now.

I don't get it because I'm lazy but also Solidarity Forever. Also, I signed up as soon as I saw Kbin has Oauth.

That and the continuation of laziness. I don't see that person losing access and immediately moving here (when they had weeks to investigate that choice leisurely before being forced). I think you're right, other platforms that fill the void (even if in a different way) seem more likely. Ones that they already use.

it will become a condition for booting your machine.

Personally, this is what I want to avoid (particularly for slower drives, though I leave the HDD unmounted most of the time) because booting isn't as fast as it should be already (mobo firmware), and I did see some info about passwordless mounting but it doesn't seem to make post-boot startup commands work properly.

Though luckily nothing much actually needs this, if I forgot to mount the SSD and open Steam I just close it and do that (in the past sometimes I've had to re-start Steam twice for it to take effect).

This seems to happen all over Kbin (image previews) if the image is not square. Though in this case there doesn't seem to be a better version saved.
