Could you copy/paste the post? I can’t view it because it’s tagged as NSFW and it’s trying to force me to use the Reddit app.

Nicenightforawalk, a RedditMigration en Reddit's updated rate limits going into effect over the coming weeks, not entirely on July 1st, as was expected

Looks like reddit really fucked over the 3rd party apps. None of it was in good faith.

Rabbithole, a RedditMigration en Reddit's updated rate limits going into effect over the coming weeks, not entirely on July 1st, as was expected

So, is Spez finally beginning to realize just how badly Reddit shat the bed here then? Ha, good luck to them, their insanity just spawned eventual competitors and made a LOT of their userbase realize many things about Reddit that they weren't happy with at all.

Enjoy watching your site and it's IPO slowly collapse then. Time for something better.

bron, a RedditMigration en So IAMA is practically dead...

I'm pretty sure AMAs in the past have introduced a lot of people to Reddit (Obama's AMA comes to mind). Before that AMAs were fairly popular too amongst celebrities.

Boost still working for me. Just checked

And still it continues to work... Any ideas anyone?

I checked the BoostForLemmy community, but there's no new posts discussing the matter.

Checked r/boost, it's literally all memes of people joking about using the official Reddit app when they're still using boost.

The dev only made a post on here advertising Boost for Lemmy, and never anything else. Apparently they aren't very active generally.

So yeah, no clue on my end.. sure curious to know what's going on though.

RedReader was still working, but then again I don't think the app developer planned on shutting it down on July 1st.

Macabre,

Yeah, RedReader is one of the apps that had an accessibility exemption due to it being so good with its accessibility features. The official Reddit app doesn't have those features, so Reddit knew they would get sued if they didn't allow some 3rd party apps to fill in that need.
