I'm sad to hear about this, vim is a great creation and it's sad to see someone go. I didn't know anything about Bram but vim is a significant tool I use daily.
I tried both but ended up using dwm cause it was the closest to what I wanted with the least amount of work. All I added to dwm was a clock and I was happy.

Are you using regular mint or debian mint? If you like the debian release system try raw debian and install cinnamon to it. Or try mint debian edition. That might help out, or it might not. Either way I'd say don't use ubuntu or things close to it.
Hey, I use the Adobe Suite for daily use to build and develop posts and videos for multiple people and can't have my workflow slow down by learning a new application, I've looked into Linux a few times and want to really move over in the future but due to it not having support for Adobe, I'm not sure what to do....
I do the external usb ssd for my windows drive and recommend it endlessly. I use the windows drive for music production and the maybe 2 games in my several hundred game library that don't work in linux. 100 bucks for a 1tb samsung external ssd, and wintousb to make it functional.
It's a good tool, pretty easy to set up too. I personally recommend not connecting to internet when setting up windows 10 so that you're not forced into either signing in or signing up for a windows account. I did that and about a year later on the same install, it's all good still.

Been using arch, don't have issues. Sometimes it doesn't play nice with dwm, but if I switch to xfce then games run without issue. My current computer has an nvidia gpu, next one will be entirely amd based.
Not really. If I do it's usually because of my weak components. Dwm causes issues sometimes but it's just cause whatever I'm playing doesn't know what to do with a tiling window.
What sort of tools are you going to use? I make ambient synth music and will often record and edit in Audacity. I use all analog hardware though, so it's different if you're using software. Only music focused distro I've ever heard of is the gentoo one, but I know there's gotta be others.
I learned about gentoo studio through the gentoo wiki. For music production where I use software I typically boot into my separate windows ssd, just because I've had so many head aches when trying to work with linux software and hardware that isn't fully supported. I'd love to do everything in linux, but some daws just don't work. Especially when I've got so much stuff set up already in mpc or guitar rig.
Easiest solution for windows with one pc, in my opinion, is get an external ssd and do windowstousb. I use that, and it works like it's native. Set me back about 100$ for a 1tb ssd. I've played games on it, made music, and other things. Works really well, so I'd suggest that before making a whole separate pc for windows alone.
